Share of screen time and trend analysis
- Highlight the top five applications or domains driving overall daily usage for selected filters.
- Compare screen time metrics between current and previous matching periods to measure changes over time.
Active engagement tracking
Screen Time reports active user interactions with the web browser. Activities are reported when
- the student’s device is awake and unlocked
- the browser window is visible and in-focus
- the student has interacted within the last 60 seconds

Screen Time reporting excludes background tabs, minimized windows, and inactive browser sessions.
Data export formats
- Download visual reports for superintendents, school board presentations, and principal reviews.
- Export CSV reports for custom compliance modeling, data analysis, and auditing.
Key metrics and calculation logic
All aggregate widgets, cards, and exported reports calculate metrics as daily per-student averages rather than raw total durations. This standardizes analytics across schools and grade bands of varying sizes.

Configuration requirements
For Screen Time data to populate accurately:
- Configure Calendar in Linewize Filter. Schedules establish the boundary between in-school and out-of-school calculations.
- Sync and map student accounts to their respective schools and grade levels.
